CGE is an Accredited HERS Rating Provider
Accredited rating providers have the responsibility of ensuring the quality of rating services. Rating providers are responsible for administering rating programs. These responsibilities include:
- Certification of raters
- Selection of accredited rating software programs
- Rating quality assurance
- Providing assistance to the Rater
CGE uses REM/Rate™ as the accredited rating software used by CGE and CGE Independent Raters.
Raters or "Rater Candidates" needing a Provider
CGE may certify independent raters (those who are already certified) or “rater candidates” (those who have passed the HERS Rater Test, but are not certified). CGE reserves the right to not certify a rater candidate or independent rater.
