To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC),
and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.

The image below is a representation of what we have found in current building construction. Which can cause problems within the building envelop leading to potential customer call backs. Choosing either a building program or implementing your own third party inspected quality assurance program, CGE can help.

These IR images where taken with an outside temperature
of approx 35F,
with the sun heating the external wall. The insulation was not
installed to manufacture's specifications, and the air seal installation
left gaps in the bottom plate and wall stud. This could lead to potential air
infiltration problems and customer call backs. This is the type of
workmanship we are typically finding on jobsites.
